The powerful diesel locomotive BR 221, from DB, pulls the realistic-looking two-part TEE 34 Merkur. The Merkur was an international express train linking Copenhagen, the Danish capital, with Germany. The train was named after the Roman God Mercury, the God of traders and travellers.
The locomotive is equipped with a PIKO sound decoder. The decoder has a total of 25 switchable functions, such as engine noises, cab lighting, and other noises such as station announcements.
