Munich-Nuremberg-Express is the name of the regional express line Munich - Ingolstadt - Nuremberg. With a speed of up to 200 km/h, the trains are the fastest regional trains in Germany in terms of their top speed and the only RE to travel the entire length of a new German high-speed line. Until 2021, the fleet consisted of push-pull train sets hauled by the 101 series. During rush hour in the morning and afternoon, an additional 10-car train ran between Munich and Ingolstadt, each with a BR 101 at the front and rear.
A total of 26 IC carriages, including three control cars, were converted in the Neumünster depot. The service cars are based on a Bvmsz type car. These cars were renamed ABvmsz and initially had 12, then 16, first class seats. The only thing that was changed was the fabric cover to pink. A set usually consists of six cars. All cars are pressure-resistant and repainted in the colors of DB Regio.
